The Rev. H. J. Lewis, of New Ply" mouth, is at present on a visit to Palmerston.

We regret to chronicle the death of the wife of Mr. J. B. Hill, of the Eginont. road, which occurred at the hospital yesterday. The funeral takes place tomorrow.

The Wellington hospital Board on. Tuesday accepted the resignations of Dr. S. J. Simpson, senior house surgeon, and Nurses A. Holmwood, F, K. Simpson and C. D. Jenkins. '

The election of two representatives of the Post and Telegraph Department upon the Public Service Superannuation .Board concluded yesterday, the result being as follows: Herbert A. R.
