A TOWN DEVASTATED

HURRICANE IN NORTH QUEENSLAND. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright, Received 20, 12.30 a.m. Brisbane, March 19. A wire from Port Douglas reports that a terrific cyclone occurred on the 16th, practically every building in the town being levelled, with two fatalities. A hundred people are homeless, and it is asked that relief be sent. The township of Mossman was also devastated. The telegraphic service is disorganised, and details are meagre.
