THE NORTHERN ASSOCIATION. By TeUfraph.—Pre* Anoeiattwi. Wellington, Lost Night. The council of the Northern Bowling Association met to-night It was decided that in future permits to play for mors than one club in the same town be issued only by the council. A statement submitted showed that the receipts of the last tournament totalled £351, of which £2BB was in .entrance fees. After expenses were paid there was a credit balance of £O2. It was decided that an aggregate prize of four guineas' value be provided for the team with the smallest score against it. Mr, J. J. Roberts wag elected secretary, in succession to Mr. G. H, Dixon. A report was presented of a conference of delegates at Auckland respecting the proposed revision of the constitution of the association. It was resolved to cir- ' cularise all unaffiliated clubs in the North Island, inviting them to join the association. The presdent, secretary and vice-president were appointed a committee to carry out the motion passed at Auckland with the idea of bringing about the amalgamation of the Northern and New Zealand bowling associations, and so securing one governing body for the Dominion. It was reported that the association has a credit balance at the bank of £lO9.
