The Meteorological Office issues the i following weather summary and forecast:—Warm and hazy weather has been j reported everywhere to-day, and fogs on i the East Coast of the South Island. Rain fell on Thursday night on the West Coast and in scattered places. The ha-1 rometer is now falling slowly everywhere, and moderate to strong northerly winds prevail. Present indications are for warm and more humid conditions, haze and increasing cloudiness, especially in southern districts. Moderate to strong northerly winds will probably prevail, and increase to the southward of Cook Strait. The barometer will probably fall slowly in the north, and will be low in the southern districts.
