JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. WON BY INGLEWOOD. At the Recreation Grounds yesterday Inglewood defeated Fire Brigade . by ; eight wjekets' and four runs, and as a result the junior cup follows the senior cup to inglewood, the club thus repeating its performance of the season before last. Last year the juniors were run-ners-up to Fire Brigade, whilst the seniors were at the bottom of the list. Five wickets were down for 27, of which Bray had made 14, when I. Bullot- improved matters by hitting up 28, and with the assistance of 10 from sKoch. and a useful six (not out) from Iliggs, the total reached 77. Inglewood also made a bad start, losing three wickets for 21, of which J. Nicholls had made 19. . This player cpntinued batting well, and with •the assistance of Quickfall, brought the score to 55 before the latter' was .foolishly run out after scoring 17. Nicholls increased, his score to 37 before Billing scattered his timber. J. Harris (13) was the only, other to make a stand, and the innings closed for 94.
