A FATAL FIGHT
PUGILIST FRACTURES HIS SKULL. By Cable. —Press Association. —Copyright. Received 10, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, March 10. A fatal fight occurred at Waterloo last night. Jack Whittaker floored Vic Oleeson,- who struck his head on the boards and was rendered unconscious. He died to-day. ISoth men were heavyweights, A SWORX " SLfXTERER." Received 1(1. 10.10 p.m. Sydney. March 10. The dead boxer's true name is Victor Jacobson. Whittaker's second stales definitely that it was arranged before the fight that Whittaker should lose, and he had wagered to that effect. The manner of the fight indicated that it was true, the deceased falling for the slightest blows, in order to waste time. Neither gave a decent bit. In the thirteenth round Jacohscn fell, and fractured his skull on the floor, and did not regain consciousness. Whittaker had undertaken to stop his opponent in fifteen rounds, of lose. Whittaker and the officials h'ave been arrested.
