A meeting of manufacturers and merchants, under the auspices of the Empire League, at the Guildhall, Lord Avcbury presiding, formed an Empire Trade Marks Association. Mr. McCall, Agent-General for Tasmania, in warmlv supporting the scheme, said that consumers were entith I to know whether or not goods were produced within the Empire. Tasmania, he said, always gave preference to the Motherland-, and his instructions were not to buy outside, merely for the sake of 5, 10, or 15 per cent, advantage. (Cheers.)
