Mr. McMahon, the director in question, denied that he had made any charge reflecting in any I way on Mr. Buckley's honesty. Mr. James (manager) also stated that Mr. McMahon had taken exception to the method of selling the butter for cash, now employed by him (the manager). Much discussion arose, and finally Mr. Mackie moved that the manager's system of keeping his butter sales ac counts was quite satisfactory to the directors. Mr. Jones seconded. Mr. McMahon, claiming that the old way of recording the sales was more' satisfactory, moved an amendment that, in future, the cash sales for butter be entered in a column for that purpose in the butter sheets.

The amendment lapsed for want of a seconder, and the motion, on being put, was carried, the mover of the amendment being the only dissenter.—Own correspondent.
