The French barque Ville-de-Dijon, grain-laden from Semabore to the United Kingdom, is ashore on Marion lleef, but apparently has received no damage. CHINAMAN RUNS AMOK. Sydney, March 14. A Chinaman ran amok on the steamer Strathan, en route for Newcastle, and after he had slightly wounded the captain and several others, jumped overboard and was drowned. SUNDAY TELEPHONE WORK. Melbourne, March 14. A number of telephone attendants, defying the department, refused Sunday duty and were suspended.
