The Board of Agriculture is concentrating its energies on suppressing the outbreak of foot and mouth disea-e at Chnbham, and in detecting the source, which is believed to he external. Many vcterinaries are engaged in dealing with the scourge. The board has scheduled a wide area for isolation, but even if the disease is eradicated ns promptly :is the Yorkshire outbreak in July, 1910, the summer will be far advanced before traffic to .South America is resumed, unless the Argentine is quicker in removing the present embargo than former.
