METHODIST CONFERENCE
COMPULSORY TRAINING AND CHRISTIANITY.
By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, March 11. The Methodist Conference discussed compulsory training.
The Rev. Mr. Madson moved in favor of the insertion of a conscience clause of exemption. He argued that compulsory training contemplated killing. Other speakers said that until nations made a peace agreement it was needful to train for protection. The conference declined to express an opinion on the question of compulsory training.
