BEE-KEEPING
The South Taranaki Beekcepenrs' Association is collecting samples of honey to replace the exhibit at present in the hands of the Government Agricultural Department. To make the collection a representative one, the association is collecting as wide apart as possible, and are collecting from O. J. Herrick, Sentry Hill; G. Taylor, Ilawera; I'. C'. Raines, Te Roti; E. Ilonore, Otakeho; J. Banks, Waverlev. T. Lavard, Pimgiirehu. At Inglewood Horticultural Show on March 9 and 10, Mr. O. J. Herrick took first and second prizes in extracted honey with two fine exhibits, part of the exhibit being an extra choice lot of white clover honey. The exhibit showed the various griules of honey, and was much appreciated by the public, and consisted of 24 bottles of various sizes. I
Mr. F. W. Sandford took first prize in comb honey, this consisting of several frames of comb, in a glass case, together with a. straw hive and comb. This attracted a good deal of attention, and was exceedingly well got up.
