ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES
THE XORMANBY FATALITY. , By Telegraph.—Fress Association. Hawera, Last Night. An inquest' was held to-day into the circumstances surrounding the death of the hid Joseph Alexander Henderson, who was found dead on Wednesday evening outside the transformer house of the Hawera County Electric Co. at Normanby. The jury returned a verdict that deceased came to his death by electrocution at the transformer. The jury considered there had been neglect on the part of the company in not seeing that the building was kept locked.
DEATH UNDER ANAESTHETIC. Christehureh, Last Night. Henry Mortimer Leatham, 46 years of age, a brother of Mr Leatham, solicitor, of this city, died at the hospital this morning whilst under an anaesthetic prior to undergoing an operation for hernia. Ether was being used, when he suddenly collapsed and died.
