WAREA. (From Our Own Correspondent). The annual ball held in the' hall on Wednesday night after the sports proved a great success. The night was fine, and hall crowded, the door in fairly good order, and the music supplied by Messrs. Knowlos (piano) and A. Ducker (violin) was good. The M.C. (Mr. T. E. Larking) kept things moving. At about midnight supper was handed round and very much appreciated. Dancing was kept going until the early hours of Thursday morning, when all went home quite satisfied with the evening's enjoyment. The door takings amounted to about £l3. It is expected that the club will, when everything is settled up, come out with a good credit balance. :. The milk supply at the local factory is still decreasing, and at the rate it is going down now in a few weeks' time we will all he able to take our winter holidays earlier than we usually do. The tests at the factory are very'good, the highest last week being 4.0, while the lowest is 3.7, the average being over 4.0. The sheep-guessing competition at the local sports on Wednesday was won by Mr. Sydney Wells and Mr. R. Andrews, who both guessed the correct weHit.
