REV. T. H. SPROTT ELECTED BISHOP. By Telegraph.—Prets Awoctetton. Wellington, Last Night. The Wellington Diocesan Synod met to-dny for the election of n bishop, in succession to Dr. Wallis, who resigned, owing to ill-health. The Synod went into committee for several hours, and on resuming the only name submitted to open Svnod was that of the Rev. T. H. Sprott, M.A., vicar of St. Paul's Parish, Wellington, for many years. lie was declared elected to the vacant bishopric by a large majority of both clergy and
