The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast:— Winds have veered to a northerly direction in moat parts of tie country today. The weather has been hazy and wanner everywhere, The barometer has risen in northern districts, but fallen in the south. Present indications are for a falling barometer everywhere, especially in the south. Northerly winds will probably increase, and strong to gale southward of New Plymouth and Napier... Increasing haziness and cloudiness will precede unsettled weather in mos]t' parts of the country, but chiefly southward of New Plymouth and Napier, where there are now . indications for a change in conditions.
