Beef.—The market is steady, and prices are well maintained. Stocks of New Zealand on hand are light. New Zealand hinds 3%d, fores 3 ] / B d. Butter. The market is quiet, but holders are firm for best quality. Choicest New Zealand 100s, Australian 102s, Danish 120s, Siberian 106s. Cheese—The market is firmer, with better demand, especially for white, quoted jit 575; colored, in moderate demand, 58s. Tile market has been favorably affected by the Canadian-American agreement.

Hemp.—There is better demand, and the market is firmer. New Zealand good fair on spot .£2O, fair grade £l9, current Manila £l9. Forward shipment New Zealand good fair £2O ss, fair grade £l9 as, Manila £2O ss. The output from Manila for the week was 20,000 bales. AVool.—The market remains firm. Cocksfoot Seed.—The market is firm. Buyers have been offering more freely. Bright clean New Zealand seed (17l'b. per bushed). 74s fid. Eggs—Marrkot quiet but firm; good demand for all descriptions; Italian, per 120, 8s 3d to 10s 3d, Danish 9s to 10s 9d, Hungarian 8s Oil to Us 9d. Poultry—The market is quiet, with no alteration in prices.
