SOUTH AMERICAN GOVERNMENTS ACTIVE. By Cable—Press Association—C#pyright. Received 5, 5.5 p.m. Berlin, March 4. Brazil is making wireless telegraphy a Government monopoly. The German Telefunken Company haa been commissioned to erect six stations.

MARCONI SYSTEM REJECTED. Received 5, 5.5 p.m. Berlin, March 4. Marconi's application for a concession was rejected, although he offered the Government, besides lower rates, 50 per cent, of the gross earnings. Argentine, Peru, and Chili are also taking steps, and have ordered a number of Telefunken stations. Argentina's seven stations will cover the entire coast line.
