Our readers will be interested in the-- i inset circulated through: this issue by Messrs. Nelson, Moate and Co. This gives the detailed report of Dr. McLaurin, the Government Analyst, on Nelson, Moate and Co.'s four leading brands of tea; and also the analysis by Professor Bickerton, Colonial Analyst, in 1882, on the Arm's brands. In each case the analyst bought the tea from a retail' grocer, so that the analysis represents that of the actual packets which are sold each day by storekeepers. It proves that despite the great advance in the price of tea, Nelson, Moate and Co.'s teas are quite equal to those of 30 years ago—in fact, if anything they are better . teas. Dr. McLaurin's comment that Messrs. Nelson, Moate and Co.'s teas "are genuine' teas of good quality and that great care has been exercised in their collection and preparation for the market," is a striking tribute to the high quality which the Arm has consistently maintained, and which has undoubtedly been the reason for their great success. New Plymouth vomcn have voiced most enthusiastic approval of the'art needlework at the Melbourne's sale. The 1 display has been a revelation to many tasteful women, who had thought they had seen the "last word" in artistic needlework.
