SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Aasociatioa. Wellington, Last Night. The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast:— Except in southernmost districts the •weather has been unsettled and cloudy, and, showers of rain have fallen in many .parts of the North Island. Strong south-easterly winds have prevailed in the north, but variable elsewhere, and squally conditions ruled last night in Cook Strait. The barometer has been unsteady. Present indications are for strong easterly winds in and northward of Cook Strait, and variable elsewftefe. The barometer will probably fall temporarily everywhere. Conditions are likely to Temain unsettled for a short period, especially in the North Island, where showers are probable at times.
