THE TARAXAKI COMPANY. There is nothing new to report from the works of the Taranaki Petroleum Company. Xos. 2 and 3 bores continue to flow, and drilling is proceeding, smoothly at No. 5. OIL AND FREEHOLD COMPANY. It. is understood that important advices have been received from London by the directors of the Oil and Freehold. Company. A special meeting of theboard was held yesterday morning, and while the directors were unable to give any particulars as to the position, there is every reason to believe that negotiations have now reached a very satisfactory stage.
