SUMMARY AND FORECAST.' ;V : By Telegraph.—Press Association ( Wellington, Last Night. 'The Meteorological Office has issued the following summary and forecast:— Variable winds have prevailed, easterly, predominating in the north, and northerly and westerly in the south. The weather has been warm and hazy generally, hut unsettled in parts', especially about Faveaux Strait, where showers have fallen at times. The barometer has fallen, but rose slightly in the far south' to-day. .Present indications are for an unsteady ■' barometer, but rising everywhere'shortly. Easterly winds are probable in the north, and variable elsewhere, but changing to southerly after about sixteen hours, moderate to strong generally., Changeable -conditions are probable, with passing clouds and showers in parts, especially in and south of Cook strait
