BLENHEIM WINS THE JFOURS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wanganui ,Last Night. The Hew Zealand championship regatta was held on Wanganui river this afternoon. The conditions were ideal for rowing, but rain spoiled the regatta so far as the public were concerned. Some fine racing was seen, and the prize money was well distributed. Results: Maiden Fours.—Canterbury R.C. 1, Union B.C. (Wanganui) 2, Wairau R.C. 3. Also started: Union R.C., Wanganui 8.C., Star 8.C., and Aramoho B.C. Won by over a length. Time, smin 16sec. Champion Fours.—Blenheim 1, Union R. C. (Ohristchurch) 2, Union B. C. (Wanganui) 3. Won by two lengths, with Ohristchurch a quarter of a length ahead of the local crew. Maiden Sculls.—J. Scannell (Wanganui Union) 1, P. Thompson (Aramoho) 2, P. Clare (Clifton) 3. Also started: J. Bennett (Star), H. Prideaux (Union 8.C.), and E. J. Day (Wanganui R.C.). Won all the way by a length. 'Time, 6mih 10'/ 2 sec. Junior Fours.—Canterbury R.C. 1, Union. R.C. (Christchureh) 2. Picton finished second, but was disqualified for going outside a buoy. Time, Bmin 20sec. Champion Sculls.—C. E. Stone (St. George's) 1, G. Marsliall (Wanganui R.C.) 2, Anderson (Wanganui R.C.) 3. Stone led practically throughout, and won by a couple of lengths after a fine finish, Bmin 48sec. Youths' Fours.—Wanganui R.C. 1, Union B.C. 2, Aramoho B.C. 3. Won by a length. Time, Smin 41sec. Champion Pairs.—Union R.C. (Christchurch) 1, Union B.C. (Wanganui) 2. Picton were second, but were disqualified for 'going outside a buoy. Wanganui Union also fouled a buoy, but finished on the legitimate course. Time, 9min 8 2-ssec. Junior Fours, in best-and-best boats.— Star B.C. 1, Union R.C. (Christchureh) 2. Won easily. Time, 9min ssee. Champion Double Sculls. — Union 8.0. (Wanganui) 1, Union R.C. (Christchurch) 2, Akaroa 3.
