Read, of New South Wales, was second. ANOTHER CHAMPION RECORD. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. M. E. Champion broke his own one mile swimming record at the Auckland centre's sports to-night by reducing the figures from 25min 10 4-ssec to 24min 48 l-ssec. He was in splendid form, and won the 108 yards race in 07sec, which, on calculation, is equal to about 02sec for the 100 yards, a second better than the New Zealand record.
