CONGRATULATIONS FOR AUSTRALIA. By Cable—Press Association—Copyriaht. Melbourne, February 23.. Sir Abe Bailey has cabled congratulations to the Australian cricketers. CARRINGTON ROAD v. INGLEWOOD. Carrington Road eould muster only seven players to go to Inglewood yesterday, and they played two substitutes, but a crushing defeated awaited them. Going to the wickets first the visitors made 101, Perham contributing-32, Aveijy 30, and Chappell 12. Inglewood were soon at home on the wicket, and {ifted up the runs, making 253 for the loss of seven wickets. Matthews was hvgreat form, and made 76, eventuffly succumbing l.b.w. tp Perham.
