SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. , Following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast:—Fair weather has continued, but increased haze and cloudiness were reported at many parts to-day. The .barometer has risen and fallen again slightly in the north, hut has been steady elsewhere. Moderate to strong winds have prevailed, easterly in the far north, and variable elsewhere, with northerlies and- westerlies predominating. Present indications are for a falling barometer, especially in the north, where conditions at present are ominous. Easterly winds, strong to gale in parts, are probable northward of Kawnia and East Cape, and ineTeasing northerlies elsewhere. Warm and humid conditions and increasing cloudiness are j likely to precede unsettled weather in many parts, especially in the northern 1 districts, where rain is probable shortly.
