Nolan and Co. report for week ending Wednesday, February 21. 1011: Poultry.—On Saturday our pens were well filled. We had several special lines, which realised high prices. Ordinary birds realised late rates. We quote: Hens, ordinary, lOd to Is od; cockerels, Is 8d to Is KM; pullets, purebred, 4s to 4s (id each; ducks, purebred trio, 17s Od; ducks, Is 3d to Is sd; ducklings, Is 3d to Is 4d; roosters, Is 2d to Is 9d; chickens, 4d to Bd. Fruit.—During the past week consign-, ments have arrived from all quarters. Owing to the decrease in supplies tomatoes have gone up to as high as 6s 3d. WEBSTER BROS.' REPORT. Poultry. —During the last two weeks we have had large entries of poultry, our pens being well filled. Pullets and small cockerels have been in largest supply, the former selling well, but the latter being hard to place. We report a good demand for dressed ducklings. Prices were as follows: Pullets, black Minorcas, prime, 3s lOd; smaller, 2a fid; white Leghorns, 3s 6d; brown Leghonrs, 3s; smaller pullets, 2s 2d to 2s 3d; purebred Indian Runner drakes, 5s (3d; drakes, Is 4d to Is 8d; ducks, Is 5d to is 7d; goslings, 2s 8d to 3s; hens, young, 2s; poorer, is 5d to Is fid; cockerels, small, 4d to Is KM; chicks, 4d to 8d; ducklings, 7d to Is 2d; game pullets, Is 7d; bantams, Is. In the mart on Saturday week we held a very successful sale of bicycles on account of Mr. G. Gunson. All the bicycles were new machines, and were sold absolutely under the hammer. In the mart on Saturday some clothing and sundries sold at satisfactory prices. Fruit. —Supplies are still coming forward very freely. Plums are fetching very high prices consequent upon a small supply. Peaches were in demand last week, the best line realising as high as Ss for 241b case. NEW PLYMOUTH WOOL. SHEEPSKIN, HIDE AND TALLOW SALES. L. A. NOLAN AND CO.'s REPORT. On the loth inst. we held our fourweekly sale of the above. Hides were keenly competed for, this being particularly noticeable in ox hides, especially in those lines showing a bit of substance combined with weight. Wool sold at about last month's rates, there being, if anything, ' a slight improvement in lambs'. Skins, particularly salted lines, sold at a slight advance for lines similar to those ollVrcd last month, noticeable rises, however, being accounted for by extra length in wool. Tallow realised satisfactory prices. Sundries sold at late rates.
