WEST COAST CHAMPIONSHIPS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Hawera, Last Night. The West Coast swimming championships commenced at Hawera this afternoon, and were continued to-night. The 100 yards breast stroke championship was won by A. Squire (Hawera), C. E. Jago (Wanganui) second, in lmin 2!) l-iwec. G. Foden (Hawera) annexed the 440 yards championship, R. Hardy (Wanganui) being second. Time, Oini'ii 32 l-ssec.

CHILDREN'S SPORTS. Tn response to the Mayor's invitation, then; was a large attendance at the municipal haths on Tuesday afternoon, when a number of races for'the children was held.
