DUNEDJN CUP MEETING. FIRST DAY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Dunedin, Last Night. The Dunedin Jockey Club's autumn meeting opened to-day iu splendid weather, and there was a record attendance. Amongst those present were Lord and Lady Islington. The totalisator investments were £14,814 10s, an increase of £5937.0ver the figures for corresponding day of last year. Results: Autumn Hurdles, one mile and threequarters.—Pinul 1, Jaek Ashore 2, Coy 3. Also started: Southern Cross, En King, Kingman, Ngawera, Zero, Portland. Won by nearly three lengths. Time, 3min 23 l-ssec.
Gladbrook Handicap, seven furlongs.— Puaka 1, Baron Northburn 2, Achray 3. Also ran: Pure Gold, King, Torrent, Vagrance. Won by a length and a half. Time, lmin 31 l-ssec.
Champagne Stakes, six furlongs Counterfeit 1, Byron 2, Daringdale 3. Also ran: Pert. Won easily by over three lengths. Time, lmin 17 l-ssec. Dunedin Cup, 500 sovs, one mile ana a half.—Los Angelos 9.5 1, Fasnakyle 7.5 2, Rose .Noble 8.1 3. Also ran: Iranui, Prim, Coroniform, Cronstadt, Warsaw, Stratagem. Los Angelos wore down Fasnakyle in the straight, and in a punishing finish won by a length and a half. Time, 2min 36 3-osec.
Trial Welter, six furlongs.—Thistledown 1, Lavidia 2, Optimeform 3. Alset ran: Crosbie, Black Tracker, Otakeho, Ambuscade, Wansbeck, Obligeant. Won by ■ about seven lengths. Time, lmin 17sec.
Stewards' Welter, seven furlongs.— All Guns 1, Armstrong 2„ Cuirosettia 3. Also ran: Boutade, Adage, Grand Slam, Eous, Pretty Face, Susa, Redmond, Fea-| dor. Won by a short head'. Time, lmin 30 3-53ec.

FIRST DAY. Woodville, Last Night. The autumn meeting of the Woodville Jockey Club was commenced in delightful weather to-day. The attendance was large, and speculation' brisk, the sum of £5004 passing through the totalisator, which waa| £1702 in excess of the corresponding day of last year. Oliver was brought 1 before the stewards and cautioned for interference with Altear in the Maiden Plate. Results:—
Maiden Plate.—Altear 1, Allurement 2, Periwai 3. Also started: Stail'a, Vesuvius, Gay Lawless, Melologue, Ohine, Jargon, St. Bees, Fleet Week, Florence. Nightingale, Ngakau. Won by half a length. Time, lmin 15 2-ssec. Hurdles.—Te Whetu 1, Sunray 2, Millenial 3. Also started: Burton, Waiputere, Ultimatum. At the first hurdle Burton jumped over a fence into the paddock and lost his rider.
