Bates' summary-and forecast:—The barometer has recorded* little change in the atmospheric pressure, and is still above norma;!. Fair though hazy weather has been experienced, but unsettled at times in the southernmost districts. Variable winds have prevailed in the middle districts, and mainly easterly and souther- , ly elsewhere, moderate to strong gener- ' ally. Present indications are ior a temporary rise preceding a Ml in the bar- , -ometer everywhere shortly. Hazy weather and increasing cloudiness are prob- • able in most parts. Strong easterly winds are probable in the north, and variable with a northerly tendency and increasing generally elsewhere.
