j SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Amociatio*. Wellington,' Last Night. The Meteorological Office this evening •issues the following weather summary and forecast:—The weather has been generally cloudy, and unsettled, and rain Mias fallen on the east coast and southernmost districts of the South Island, and has been reported on both coasts southward of New Plymouth and Gisboine to-day. Moderate to strong southerly and easterly winds have prevailed, but the winds are variable about Goolc strait. Barometric pressure has increased. Present indications are for high J southerly winds, with a rising barometer and rain in most parts of the country.
