REFERRED TO ARBITRATION. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night, The Waterside Workers' Federation executive and the shipping owners concerned, after a conference to-day, mutually agreed to refer the Patea strikers' dispute to two arbitrators and an umpire. In view of the agreement, the men at Patea and the whar,f laborers at Wellington \vhu refused to unload the steamer Maim, from Patea, this morning, will resume work. The executive and owner-; have agreed to abide by the decision of the arbitrators. The prospects of a -xrious strike to-day were, very gloomy, with the Waterside Federation and the Seamen's Federation acting in concert.
