SMART SENTENCED TO DEATH. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Perth, February 17. Smart has been sentenced to death for the murder of Ethel Harris. Smart protested his innocence. The judge declared there could be no doubt of his guilt. The crime was conceived with deadly deliberation, and executed with unflinching brutality. For such a crime there was no hope of mercv in this world.
