Onehunga, Thursday.—Arrived, at 9.55 a.m., Rarawa, from New Plymouth. THE ROSAMOND/ The Rosamond arrived here yesterday morning from Wellington, Pieton and Nelson. She brought 162 tons of cargo, which included 110 bags of bark, 375 sacks of chaff, a large quantity of fruit, and transhipments ex Durham and Athenic. A survey was made of the vessel and cargo while in port, and it was found that absolutely no damage had been done. The Rosamond sailed for Onehunga shortly after 3 p.m. _ . SOUTHERN BOATS. The Corinna is due early this morning from southern ports with about 500 tons of cargo; The Kotuku is'oxpecjted here about 10 o'clock from Wellington ' with cargo which had been shut out of the Corinna, amounting to about 200-.tons.
The Rarawa was late in getting into Onehunga yesterday morning, being detained by the thick atmosphere caused by the smoke from bush fires. Captain Norbury, who has been on holiday leave, resumes command o'f the 'Rarawa to-day. Mr. W. Mackenzie has joined the Corinna as second officer, jn place of Mr. J. Scrivener, who has gone ashore for orders. -• ' . '
