Bates' summary and forecast:—Warm and hazy weather has prevailed with fogs in parts. The winds have been generally moderate, and the barometer has fallen slowly everywhere. Present indications are for moderate to strong westerly winds northward of New Plymouth arid Napier, and increasing northerlies elsewhere.
