XOX-IXTERFEREXCE OF POLICE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright, London, February 12. Tn an official letter, Mr. Winston Churchill, Home Secretary, informs the president of the Central Association of Aid to Discharged Convicts that the latter come under its cognisance and control, and, except in unsuitable eases, police supervision, as prescribed by the Prevention of Crimes Act, would be suspended, but in the event of misbehaviour would be strictly enforced. Sir E. .7. Ruggles Brise has been elected chairman of the council, consisting of representatives of prisoners' aid societies.
