. TiJK OPERATIONS AT MOTUROA. The depth of Xo. 3 well on the Taranaki Petroleum Company's field is now 3480 feet, and there are large quantities of oil in the bore. Good progress is being made with the drilling at No. 5 bore, tho depth of which is now 050 feet. No. 2 well, the company's bonanza, is. behaving excellently, and continues to. emit oil and gas in large quantities, easily maintaining its average of 100 barrels a week, much to the interest of large numbers of visitors and to the delight of sanguine shareholders.
