THE WEATHER.
SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' summary and forecast:—Warm and hazy weather has prevailed, but rain is reported in the far north. This afternoon; easterly winds have prevailed. A gale is reported at Russell, but elsewhere the ■winds are generally moderate to strong. The barometer has fallen everywhere. Present indications are for a'falling barometer, with increasing northerly .and easterly winds generally, warm and hazy weather preceding rain in most parts of the country. There are indications; for a south-easterly gale in the southern districts after thirty hours, and stormy weather generally.
