AMUSEMENTS
WIRTH BROS.' CIRCUS. Mr. G. 'P. Petersen, representative for Messrs. Wirtli Bros., arrived in town last night to make arrangements for a two nights' season, opening on Friday, February 24, with a monster new company of artists, and a large menagerie, including "Lizzie," a real live hippopotamus that cost £1250. A matinee will be held on Saturday afternoon. THE BIOGRAPH PICTURES. The above pictures met with a hearty reception at the Theatre Royal last evening, when a good gathering assembled. ' The present set of films is a very entertaining lot, the scenic pictures alone being ample compensation for a long journey to the theatre. To-night the programme will be screened for the last time.- To-morrow evening the usual complete change of films will be submitted.
