Received 9, 12.25 a.m. Brisbane, February 8,
Mr. Kidston, in a farewell message to the people, said he felt it was not well for a progressive young State that the same man should remain at the head of affairs too long. Queensland should have a continual succession of young men pushing her ahead. He had been associated with' a great progressive policy, and left it foi younger and more active men to continue.
