British Unionists in the late election conceived and executed a Gilbertian satire. In one electorate the Unionist candidate caused a mob of his sheep to lie raddled blue all over. Blue smocked shepherds drove the sheep through the crowds of electors. The human mob was not so silly as the sheep, and refused to •be blue raddled, pushing the Unionist candidate out of the political arena with ore&t emphasis;
