TWENTY FEET OF WATER ON RAILWAY ROUTE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Brisbane, February 7. The floods are getting worse. Water is up to the roof of the shed on the wharf at Bundaberg. The Dawson river is 42 feet high at Rockhampton, and is rising two inches an hour. Communication with Blackall is cut off, as the creek is 22 feet deep over the railway line. A MAILMAN DROWNED. Brisbane, February 7. Tinckriell, the mailman, and Lowe, a boy, were crossing a flooded creek near Gaynhad, when their buggy capsized, and both were drowned.
