MR. KIDSTON RESIGNS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Brisbane, February 7. Mr. Kidston, Premier of Queensland, has resigned his seat, as he is suffering from stress of work. The following is the new Ministry:— Chief Secretary and Vice-President of the Executive, Mr. Denhani. Attorney-General, Mr. O'Sullivan. Treasurer and Minister of Works, Mr. Barnes.
Home Affairs and Mines, Mr. Appel. Railways, Mr. Paget. Public Instruction, Mr. Grant. Lands, Mr. Macartney. Agricultural and Stock, Mr. Telmie. Without portfolio, Mr. Barlow. Mr. Hawthorn, Treasurer in the Kidston Ministry, has resigned his seat, private business demanding his attention.
A POLITICAL PLUM. Received 8, 12.55 a.m. Brisbane, February 7. It is reported that Mr. Kidston has accepted a position on the Land Board at £ICOO a year for fifteen years.
