OKATO. (From Our Own Correspondent.)' What might have been a very serious accident happened to Mr. E. <!. Snell yesterday morning (Monday, February fl) as he was on hi.s way to the factory with : his milk supply. Mr. Snell was driving two horses in a light express, and as he came down the cutting leading to the Kaihilii river, one of the horses shied rather badly, and the driver had 1 .just got the pair straightened up again when a. barrow used by the roadman came suddenly into the hor.ses' view, with the result that the horses, driver and cart went over the bank, the cart completely capsizing and burying Mr. Snell under it and the cans. Fortunately no bones were broken, but 'Mr. Snell was very much bnrsed, and will, no doubt, require i to rest for u few days. Mr. Snell has I i!:e sincere sympathy of all who know bim, as lie (although, comparatively speaking, only a new arrival) has gained the respect 'of ail with whom he has come in contact.
