BOWLING.

THE TARANAKI TOURNAMENT. Tlie annual tournament of the Taranaki Bowling Association commences at Inglewood to-day. Eleven clubs will be represented out of thirteen in the association, Hawera and Manaia being the nlisi-ntpes. The clubs taking part will be New Plymouth (holders of the shield), Fitzroy,' West End, Waitara, Inglewood, Stratford, Eltham, Pihama, Opunake, Patea, and Waverley. Following are the draws for to-day's play:— First round (to start at 10 a.m.): Patea plays Inglewood (2 rinks); Stratford plays nest End (1 rink); Eltham plays Pihama- (1 rink); Opunake plays New Plymouth (1 rink); Waverlej plays Waitara (a rinks); Fitzroy, a bye. Second round: Pihama plays New Plymouth (1 rink); Waverley plays Opunake (1 rink); Fitzroy plays Waitara (2 rinks): Stratford 'plays Patea (1 rink); Eltham plays Inglewood (2 rinks); West End, a bye. Third round: Eltham plays Waverley (2 rinks); Inglewood plays, New Plymouth (1 rink); Opunake plays Stratford (2 rinks); West End plays Pihama (1 rink); Fitzroy plays Patea (2 rinks); Waitara, a bye. Play will commence at 10 o'clock today, and at 9 o'clock on Wednesday and Thursday mornings. Hke matches 'trill be seventeen heads only, with a two hours' limit.
