Miss Durack won the New South Wales ladies 100 yards breast stroke swimming championship in Imin 31scc. NEW ZEALAND AMATEUR CHAMPIONSHIPS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Saturday. The New Zealand championships opened in Wellington to-day in fine weather, and with a large attendance of spectators. Results:— 100 YARDS, NEW ZEALAND CHAMPIONSHIP.—First. heat: C. Brice (Wellington) 1. M. E. Champion (Auckland) 2, C. Atkinson (Christchurch) 3. Also started: E. J. Dawson (Dunedin) and J. Grant (Hawera). Won by a touch. Time, (53 4-ssec. Second lieat: B. C. Freyberg (Wellington) 1, A. Ohare (Auckland) 2, F. Roberts (Wellington) 3. Also started: E. L. Bull (Christchurch) and F. Seymour (Napier). Won by about three feet, a touch separating second and third. Time, (15 l-ssee. Third heat: M. C. Stranger (Wellington) 1, C. Wilson (Auckland) 2, J, D. Stewart (Auckland) 3. Also started: L. Dinglev (Canterbury), O. Seymour (Napier). Won bv two feet, a foot between second and third. Time, 03 '2-ssec. ! Final: C. Bruce 1, M. E. Champion 2, I B. C. Freyberg 3. A splendid race, Brice winning by about two feet. Time, C3sec, a New Zealand record. ONE MILE CHAMPIONSHIP—M. E. Champion (Auckland) 1, R. Hedley (Wellington) 2, C. Wilson (Auckland) 3. Also started: A. McMillan (Dunedin), C. 11. H. Rich- (Canterbury), and P. Schwartz (Auckland). Champion hda ; things all his own way, and won with I ridiculous ease in 25min 18sec—a New Zealand record. Ilealey was about 70 yards behind, and Rich 50 yards further , back.

Water Polo—Wellington B defeated Canterbury B by five goals to one; and Wellington A beat Hawkc'a Bay by four goals to one.
