NEW ZEALAND'S TRIUMPHAL ARCH. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. London, February 2. Sir William Hall-Jones announces that New Zealand is prepared to contribute £IOOO for a triumphal arch at the Coronation. The Evening Standard advocates that similar arches should be erected by Australia, and the other dominions, showing tkeir products and resources. A LABOR PROTEST. Brisbane, February 3. The executive of the Labor Party has adopted a protest at the Federal Government sending a contingent of Labor members to the Coronation. AN AUSTRALIAN CONTINGENT. Received 3, 8.65 p.m. Sydney, February 3. A number of the First Australian Light Horse Regiment, of which the King is Colonel-in-Chief, have volunteered to defray their own expenses to the Coronation, provided they obtain the Government's sanction to go officially. ALEXANDRA. Received 4, 12.25 a.m. London, February 3. The Daily Express states that the Dowager Queen Alexandra will not attend the Coronation, there being no precedent for the presence of the DowagerQueen.
