PREFERENTIAL TRADE
FEDERAL PREMIER'S VIEWS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, February 2. Mr. Fisher, referring to his proposed action at the Imperial Conference in relation to preferential trade, declared that he would not ask' the people of Australia to do anything which would make the lot of the toiling masses of Britain harder, or increase the price at which they could get food for their children. The good sense of the people of Australia would prevent them desiring that the food of Britain should be increased in price even for the sake of preferential trade.
