INCREASE EXPECTEi; IN BRITAIN. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received 3, 12.10 a.m. London, February 2. It is stated that Britain's building programme includes live battleships. Archibald Hurd, writing in the Fortnightly Review, expects an increase in the Navy Estimates this year by £4,000,000 to £5,000,000. During the past twenty years the German expenditure had increased from £4,500,000 to £22,500,000; United States, from £5,500,000 to £28,000,000; and Great Britain from £13,500,000 to £42,000,000.
