Carisbrook A made 390 in their first innings against 1 Albion (Hopkins 71, Banncrman 75, Cameron 57, L. Watson 45, Rutherford 44). Albion scored 234 for five wickets (J. Shepherd 74, Wallace 68). Carisbrook) B in their lirst innings against Opoho made 319 (Drumm 58, Austin 55). Opoho made 201 for five wickets (Callaway 121 not out). Christchurch, Monday. There was fine weather for continuation of grade cricket on Saturday. In the game Riccarton against Linwood.l the first named, despite the absence ot'j three of their team in Auckland, had no difficulty in passing Linwood's score ot'! 180. The total reached 339. Rix top score with 04 not out. A. Norman! made 03 and Whitta 41. Riccarton won on the first innings by 159 runs. St. Albans scored a three-point victory against West Christchurch. The last named were in a minority of 47 on the first innings, which they declared. The second innings closed for 158 for eight wickets. St. Albans hit up the required runs for the loss of five wickets. East Christchurch was in a hopeless position against Sydenham, having only made 52 in the first innings and 20 for three in the second, against Sydenham's 278. East's second innings closed for 37, Sydenham winning by an innings and 189 runs. Wellington, Monday. Cricketers were favored with fine weather on Saturday. The matches resulted:—Victoria College, 39 and 40 for four wickets (Monaghan 29) v. East A, 1 157 (Midlane 40, Tucker 29); Central' B, 112 (Patterson 41, Sisson 33) v. Hutt, 157 for seven wickets (Staples 01 not out, Isherwood 30, G. V. Judd 26 not out) Crombie played a fine innings for his 143 (not out). He gave two chances, one at 77 and another at 90, to the wicketkeeper.
